The mission of the Division of University Advancement at Rowan University is to build strong, lasting relationships with the University among alumni, donors and other important constituents to encourage investment in and support of the University and its programs and initiatives.
The Division provides leadership and assistance to the University to garner support for the institution and enhance its reputation and visibility among its internal and external constituencies through strategic relationship building, fundraising and stewardship. Strong alumni programs and services help promote the interests of the University, its alumni and the community.
The Division of University Advancement oversees four functions: Development, Alumni Relations, Advancement Services and the Rowan University Foundation. In conjunction with the academic colleges and other units of the University, the Division is responsible for leading the development efforts of the institution. Through the cultivation and establishment of new relationships, and the continuance of ongoing relationships, the Division of University Advancement works to promote and advance the overall mission of Rowan University and expand its margin of excellence.
The Rowan University Foundation, working closely with the Division of University Advancement and the Rowan University Alumni Association, has as its mission to insure that Rowan University becomes recognized as the region’s premier baccalaureate and post-baccalaureate institution.
The Rowan University Foundation oversees and coordinates all fund-raising activities and is responsible for the management and investment of all charitable contributions to benefit the University. As the officially designated non-profit, independent organization of philanthropic aid to the institution, the Foundation is the only vehicle through which charitable gifts to Rowan University may be made. It is the proper channel for gifts to the University from individuals, corporations, and foundations.
