April M. Carty-Sipp
April M. Carty-Sipp joined the Rowan University Foundation Board of Directors in 2013. She has been a member of the Rowan University Alumni Executive Board since 2010, and has served as the Vice President and Chair of its Nominations Committee since 2011.
The current Vice President of Programming at WPVI-TV-6abc, a Disney ABC Television Group affiliate and the #1 television station in Philadelphia, she is responsible for supervising and developing original programming for the station. Prior to her current position, she served as the Senior Vice President of Creative Services and Brand Integration at NBC Sports Regional Networks for 12 years.
Ms. Carty-Sipp has won six Mid-Atlantic Emmy Awards and has served as a board member for the Mid-Atlantic division of the National Association of Television Arts and Sciences. In addition to her professional accomplishments, Ms. Carty-Sipp is an active volunteer in her community and is a member of a number of philanthropic groups.
Ms. Carty-Sipp graduated from Rowan University in 1993 with a bachelor’s degree in communications (radio/television/film). She also completed a leadership program from the Women in Cable Telecommunications’ Betsy Magness Leadership Institute as well as the United Way Young Leaders Board Orientation Program.
